Blyth Spartans Under 9's have come to the end of their first competitive
season. It has been a good season. They play in the Killingworth
Mini Soccer League and out of 16 teams finished the Autumn league
in fifth place. The league was then split in to two, with the top
8 and bottom 8 teams forming the two divisions of the Winter League.
The teams played each other again and we finished in 5th place once
again. Next came the subsidary cup, we were in group B and won the
group. Together with a successful league cup run, finishing runners
up to Wallsend Boys Club it has been a most enjoyable experience.
Well done lads enjoy your presentation on Saturday.
Blyth Spartans under 9's were narrowly beaten 1-0 by Wallsend Boys
Club in the League Cup Final. Manager Andrew said "It shows
how far the lads have come in their first season. We played Wallsend
at the start of
the season and were beaten 10-3. It was a great effort and young
Andrew Hedley had a near miss which would of taken the game into
extra time. Everyone involved was very proud of them. Well Done.

The under 9's play on a Saturday morning in the Killingworth mini
soccer league.
After playing all the other 15 teams once the young Spartans have
finished 5th and are through to the FINAL of the
League Cup. An excellent acheivement in what is their 1st season
together.
The League now splits in two and the top 8 teams and bottom 8 teams
play each other again in the Winter League.
It is going to be hard but Manager and Coach will be focusing on
trying to acheive a higher position than 5th.
