30th October - 100 Club
Four Blyth Spartans players had their loyalty to the club recognised recently.
Captain Richard Forster has clocked up over 200 appearances while three other “green and whites” all celebrated turning out for the Spartans over 100 times.
Goalkeeper Craig Turns, and defenders Gareth Williams and Andrew Leason all collected special commemorative t-shirts from the Club’s Dougie Ramsey.
“It has been said that there is little loyalty at our
level of football these days but these lads buck the trend” commented
Blyth’s General Manager Ian Evans. “We hope that these players continue
to represent Blyth for a long time to come and we look forward to more of our
current squad joining them in “The 100 Club””.
