21st October VIZ book launch
Croft Park, home of Blyth Spartans, plays host to a national book launch later this month.
“The book may not be in the running for this year’s Booker Prize or Nobel Prize for Literature but its creative use of language and its odyssey to extend the boundaries of our native tongue is indisputable” commented a Spartans spokesman.
Graham Dury, Editor of VIZ, will be signing copies of the book – Roger’s Profanisaurus – the latest publication from the north east’s famous magazine.
“Rather than having to trek down to WH Smiths or Waterstones
we are bringing a book launch to the people” he added. “Although,
rather than having Bollinger and canapés we will be indulging in Bovril
and meat pies.
“VIZ is a longtime supporter of the Spartans and we are privileged to
host this prestigious event”.
