Blyth Spartans is delighted to confirm that once again the PORT
of BLYTH has generously agreed to sponsor the PLAYER OF THE MONTH
AWARD.
The Port of Blyth Player of the Month for March
2008 is Ben Christensen

It is great to see Ben return to a rich vein of
form. On the first day of the month he produced a Man of the Match
winning performance against Stalybridge and continued to impress
with imposing performances against both Burscough and Kettering,
he also managed to add to his goal-scoring tally, against Hucknall.
Well-done Ben, Port of Blyth Player of the Month for March.
The Port of Blyth Player of the Month for February
2008 is Chris McCabe

Chris has been in fine form since the beginning
of the season and this continued throughout February. In addition
to his hard working gritty performances in midfield he has managed
to retain his position as the Club’s top goal scorer, adding
another 3 during the month.Well-done Chris, Port of Blyth Player
of the Month for February.
The Port of Blyth Player of the Month for January
2008 is Gary Brown

Since joining us from Northern League Jarrow Roofing
Gary has looked comfortable and assured. He has quickly settled
into the heart of the defence producing some solid performances.
He opened his goal tally against Bedlington in the Northumberland
Senior Cup as well as producing a couple of man of the match performances.
Well-done Gary, Port of Blyth Player of the
The Port of Blyth Player of the Month for December
2007 is Andrew Johnson

In a rather up and down month that disappointingly
saw us pick up only 4 points in the league, but saw us, against
the odds, progress to the last 32 in the FA Trophy after a tremendous
win at Telford. However, the one player to shine throughout the
month was Andrew Johnson. He scored 3 very important goals and during
the month seems to have really stepped up a gear in both class and
confidence.
Well-done Andrew, Port of Blyth Player of the Month for December
2007.
The Port of Blyth Player of the Month for November
2007 is Adam Bartlett

Adam started the month with a fine ‘man of
the match’ winning performance against Kettering. His month
should have got even better when he was selected once again for
the England ‘C’ squad, but illness meant he hardly left
the team hotel. However, better was still to come. Adam produced
an absolutely superb performance in the FA Trophy replay against
Gainsborough Trinity. A string of top class saves during the 120
minutes were topped by 2 penalty saves in the shoot out to see us
progress into the next round. Well-done Adam, Port of Blyth player
of the month for November 2007.
The Port of Blyth Player of the Month for October
2007 is Adrian Webster

Adrian joined the Club at the start of the month
arriving from Workington with a very good reputation, and he has
had no problems living up to it.
He has played in midfield with an abundance of craft and skill and
always prepared to press forward. As well as a couple of man of
the match awards he also opened his goal scoring account against
Hucknall. Well-done Adrian, Port of Blyth player of the month for
October 2007.
The Port of Blyth Player of the Month for September
2007 is Chris MCabe

Chris started the season really well and was in
contention for the August Player of the Month. His fine form has
continued despite the team having a rather difficult time. Not only
has he managed to provide his usual gritty midfield contribution,
he has become leading goal scorer, as well as producing two vital
match winners. One, in the away victory against Solihull and the
other a last minute ‘strike’ in the FA Cup.
Well-done Chris McCabe, Port of Blyth player of
the month for September 2007
The Port of Blyth Player of the Month for August
2007 is ROBERT DALE

The Port of Blyth Player of the Month is Robert
Dale. During a poorer start to the season than we all hoped for,
one bright spot has been the form of Rob.
From the off Rob took ‘control’ of
matters scoring from the penalty spot after only 4 minutes of the
new season. This was followed by good performances against Hinckley
& Hyde, as well as adding another to his goal tally.
Well done Robert.
